Choosing fabric for your next collection
Fabric selection connects the look of a collection with how it feels and performs. Begin with the garment’s purpose and the conditions in which it will be worn.
Single jersey is commonly used for casual T-shirts, while piqué provides a textured appearance for polo shirts. Interlock offers a smooth surface on both sides, and stretch blends can support fitted or active silhouettes.
Weight alone does not determine quality. Review composition, construction, handle, opacity, stretch and recovery, and the intended finish. Request physical samples and appropriate test information when these characteristics are important to your brief.
A sample garment helps you evaluate the fabric together with the fit and construction before progressing to a larger order.
